Mae La Klo Christian School was founded in 2004 with the mission of providing education and hope to children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds and refugees. Due to Thai government policies that prohibited students from studying in refugee camps, efforts were made to secure land for a formal school, which eventually became the current location.

In its early years, the school faced significant challenges, including a devastating fire. However, with the support of missionaries and donors, the school was rebuilt and continued to improve its facilities and programs.

Located in the Mae La sub-district, Mae La Klo Christian School offers education from grades 1 to 6. The school serves children in need, helping them access quality education to prepare for a better future.

Today, the school welcomes almost 200 students, including 70 who live on site.

Despite challenges, including a devastating fire, Mae La Klo Christian School persevered with the help of dedicated supporters. Today, it continues to fulfill its mission of empowering children through education, giving them hope and opportunities for a better future.

Our Work

We ensure that all children receive quality education, with a focus on learning English, which is essential for their future opportunities.

Students living in our facilities receive food and basic support, with minimal contributions from their families.

We promote music, sports and community and spiritual activities for the integral development of children.

Many of our alumni today work in organizations like the UN, proving that education truly transforms lives 🌍 🏆

These undocumented children come from families who fled the war, but were not accepted into refugee camps. Without resources, many of them cannot afford the monthly cost of 50 dollars needed to cover education, food and accommodation.

Playground for Children

Childhood is also made up of moments of joy and games. We want to build a playground to provide children a safe and fun space where they can play, socialize and fully experience this special phase.

GYM FOR ACTIVITIES

The intense sun limits children's activities, making it difficult to hold outdoor games and events. We want to build a roof with a multi-sports court, where children can learn, play and interact safely, protected from the heat and rain.

Rain Containment Barrier

During the rainy season, the river near the school overflows, threatening the children's dormitories. We need to build a containment barrier to protect the school structure and guarantee the safety of our students, even in the most adverse weather conditions.

Home for New Volunteers

The need for volunteers is enormous, but we currently do not have a suitable place to receive them. Our goal is to build a house to receive missionaries willing to contribute to this mission, allowing more people to bring their talents and make a difference in the lives of these children.
